Abstract
Classroom management is essential to effective teaching, influencing student behavior, engagement, and achievement. This study examined behavioral problems among elementary pupils, teachers’ management approaches, and their solutions. Using a qualitative design, data were gathered through structured interviews with twelve teachers from selected schools in Tinoc District, Ifugao. Thematic analysis identified common issues: impulsivity, inattention, poor work habits, attention-seeking, emotional difficulties, peer conflicts, and disrespect for authority. Teachers addressed these through positive reinforcement, structured routines, behavior modification, and relationship-building strategies. Findings indicate that effective classroom management requires a balance of proactive and responsive approaches, supported by strong teacher–student relationships. The study highlights the need to strengthen teacher training and inform policy development to improve classroom environments and support diverse learner needs.
