INTRODUCTION
Reading is the process of recognizing, understanding, and interpreting written symbols or words to gain meaning and information. If is one of the most important language skills that allows people to communicate, learn, and think carefully.
Reading is one of the most essential skills that form the foundation of learning and academic success. It enables learners to comprehend, analyze, and apply information across all areas of study.
Reading is an important skill to develop because it is fundamental to a person to function in today’s society like assessing duties and responsibilities in a day-to-day activity. Reading is deemed as an essential macro skill in learning most of the subjects in k-12 curriculum. The ability to read is generally recognized as one of the most important skills a learner should have. It is a tool of the inquisitive mind and vehicle for obtaining ideas. The individual who reads well, has to this command a means for widening mental horizon and for multiplying his opportunities for experiencing.
Reading is a key to unlocked the door to the worlds of enlightenment and enjoyment. It is the basic tool for learning and indeed, it is an important skill a pupil should develop. A child who read is a child who knows. This skill helps children in attaining other skills without the ability to read. Pupils will have a hard time in dealing with other things.
To support learners with reading difficulties, schools implement various reading intervention programs designed to improve literacy skills through targeted instruction, guided practice, and continuous monitoring.
These interventions aim to help struggling readers develop foundational reading skills, enhance comprehension, and build reading fluency. This study seeks to give voice to struggling readers, allowing them to express their experiences and provide insight into how reading interventions influence their learning journey. Through exploring their stories and perspectives, this study aims to deepen the understanding of what learners find more helpful, a challenging their way and or motivating within the intervention process.
