Abstract
This qualitative study determined the experiences of Science, Technology, and Engineering Senior High School learners on research. An open-ended interview schedule was used to gather data among the participants. It was found out that learners engaging in research turned out to be a taxing and wearisome journey. The challenges were not few, including the stress and fatigue that came with the process. Time management, a struggle for many, was a significant challenge that these learners faced. It also revealed that the hindering factors were poor internet connection which hindered the smooth progress of research activities, time management which served as barrier to pursue the conduct of the study, and financial problem which added as another complexity for learners. Moreover, the study brought light to the facilitating factors identified as guidance and support from the research advisers, and financial support from the family.
