Statement of the Problem:
This study aims to enhance the foundation literacy skills of learners through the implementation of SMART (Strengthening Mastery in Alphabet, Reading, and Thinking). Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:
1. What is the current level of learners’ mastery in alphabet recognition, reading, and thinking skills before the implementation of SMART?
2. What difficulties do learners encounter in identifying letters, reading words, and understanding simple texts?
3. How does the implementation of SMART improve learners’ alphabet recognition, reading fluency, and thinking skills?
