INTRODUCTION
The English language plays an important role in the Philippines for it became one of the official languages of the country. Language learning has always been part of academic curriculum. It is expected that students learn and be able to practice successfully apply for written and oral communication.
However, English language learners find prepositions challenging to master due to its large numbers and different nature. Substitution, addition and omission are the most syntactic errors based on their analysis of linguistic output of learners says Lorincz (2012).
Researcher aims to identify and describe the errors in using prepositions of time (in, on, at). This will be done by gathering data about the level of English language writing proficiency, the grammatical environment that produces the highest error rate and the proposed strategy to address the identified errors among the Grade-12 students of Villahermosa National High School in terms of preposition of time.
