Abstract The aims of this study are to determine the English language anxiety level in speaking and writing skills among learners in junior high school, as well as to compare if there is significant difference between the level of their anxieties. Using the 5-point Likert scale, the study compared English anxiety levels in the speaking and writing skills among junior high School learners in San Jacinto, Masbate. The findings revealed that there is no significant difference in the level of English anxiety between in speaking skill and writing skill. In addition, the researcher recommends further studies to teachers for them to provide an effective intervention and to future researchers to provide effective methods for data interpretation, leading to a more specific results.
