Plagiarism Policy
No-Plagiarism Policy of Pinagpala Publishing Services (PPS)
At Pinagpala Publishing Services (PPS), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic and professional integrity. In compliance with the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (R.A. 8293), we strictly enforce a No-Plagiarism Policy to ensure the originality and ethical quality of all published works.
Plagiarism and AI-Generated Content Standards
All submitted manuscripts must have a plagiarism and AI-generated content similarity score of less than 20%.
Authors are required to submit their papers with a plagiarism and AI-detection report to verify compliance with this standard.
Plagiarism-Checking Service
For authors who cannot provide their own plagiarism report, PPS offers a plagiarism-checking service using reliable plagiarism detection software. The process includes:
Initial Check: PPS will conduct a thorough plagiarism check on the submitted manuscript.
Notification: Authors will be notified of the results.
If the manuscript meets the required standard (below 20% similarity), it will proceed to the next steps of the publication process.
If the manuscript fails the plagiarism check, the author will be notified and required to revise the work accordingly.
Revisions and Resubmission
Authors whose papers fail the plagiarism check will be given an opportunity to revise their work.
The revised manuscript must address all flagged issues and meet the required standards before resubmission.
The resubmitted paper will undergo another round of plagiarism checking and evaluation.
Penalties for Policy Violations
To maintain the integrity of our publications, PPS enforces the following penalties for violations of the No-Plagiarism Policy:
First Violation:
The manuscript will be rejected, and the author will be required to revise and resubmit.
A formal warning will be issued to the author.
Second Violation:
The manuscript will be permanently rejected.
The author will be blacklisted from submitting to any PPS publications for one year.
Severe or Repeated Violations:
If an author is found to have deliberately plagiarized or submitted multiple manuscripts with high similarity scores, PPS reserves the right to:
Permanently ban the author from submitting to any PPS publications.
Report the violation to relevant academic or professional bodies, including institutions and organizations affiliated with the author.
Commitment to Ethical Publishing
This policy ensures that all works published by PPS are original, ethical, and compliant with intellectual property laws. We strongly encourage authors to review and refine their manuscripts thoroughly before submission to meet these standards.
By adhering to this policy, Pinagpala Publishing Services safeguards the integrity of its publications and fosters a culture of ethical and responsible authorship.
