Author Rights and Copyright Retention
While PPS generally holds the copyright to all published articles, authors may request to retain the copyright to their work, subject to the approval of PPS. Authors who wish to retain copyright must formally submit a written request to PPS, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Regardless of copyright ownership, authors retain their moral rights over their works, including:
The right to be identified as the author of the work.
The right to object to any distortion, mutilation, or modification of their work that may harm their reputation.
Commitment to Copyright Compliance
PPS is committed to protecting the intellectual property of its authors and ensuring that all published materials adhere to Philippine copyright laws. By publishing with PPS, authors agree to transfer copyright ownership to the publisher unless otherwise approved.
This policy ensures that all published works are safeguarded, respected, and legally protected, while providing flexibility for authors to retain copyright ownership upon request. This fosters a culture of ethical publishing and compliance with intellectual property laws.
