Introduction
Developing writing skills in kindergarten is a crucial part of early language, literacy and communication learning. The new-normal situation described in the uploading study was one in which teachers and families needed alternate means of fostering children's macro-skills. Supplemental Writing Activities (SWAc) was an intervention that offered additional writing opportunities outside the standard class activities and was grounded on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Proficiency Guidelines for 2012.
The action research was conducted to ten kindergarten pupils of San Mariano II Central Integrated School at San Mariano, Isabela. Writing performance was rated on readability, spelling, and transcription of familiar terms, with a total possible score of 15. This paper analyzes the difference in the documented proficiency before and after SWAc.
