ABSTRACT
This descriptive quantitative study assessed learning continuity strategies at Masbate National Comprehensive High School after natural calamities. Complete enumeration included all 92 Senior High School teachers. Data were collected through a validated researcher-made questionnaire covering two-day face-to-face instruction, modular learning, online and digital support, teacher coordination and school support, perceived effectiveness, and implementation challenges. Pilot testing among 30 teachers outside the research locale yielded an overall Cronbach’s alpha of 0.90. Frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and rank were used. Two-day face-to-face instruction was Highly Implemented, with a composite mean of 3.50. Modular learning, online and digital support, and teacher coordination and school support were Moderately Implemented, with means of 3.35, 3.21, and 3.47, respectively. The combined strategies were Moderately Effective (3.28). Teachers rated limited internet connectivity and increased workload as the leading challenges, both with means of 3.57; overall challenges were Moderately Experienced (3.48). The results show that compressed classroom meetings provided the strongest instructional anchor, while learner independence, digital access, monitoring, and workload constrained the complementary modalities. Project RESILIENT, or Responsive Educational Strategies for Instructional Leadership, Innovation, Engagement, and Networked Teaching, was developed to strengthen competency-based instruction, learner engagement, modular and digital support, teacher collaboration, learning recovery, and institutional preparedness. The school should integrate these measures into its monitored continuity framework.
