ABSTRACT
This study investigated the implementation and compliance to anti-truancy policy in the municipality of San Lorenzo, Province of Guimaras, Philippines for school year 2025-2026. A total of 112 Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) officials from the municipality were the respondents of the study. Data were collected through a validated and reliable researcher-made instrument. The statistical tools used were mean, frequency, and percentage for descriptive and Kruskal Wallis H-Test, Mann Whitney U-Test, and Spearman rho for inferential with alpha set at .05 level of significance. Findings of the study showed that the implementation of anti-truancy policy was to a very great extent reflecting that the plans or activities related to the prevention or elimination of truancy are consistently carried out. Further, the extent of compliance to anti-truancy policy was very great denoting that in the municipality of San Lorenzo, there was always adherence to provisions in the anti-truancy policy in the enforcement of rules in the prevention or elimination of truancy. There were no significant differences in the extent of implementation of anti-truancy policy as assessed by the respondents when classified according to school location and schools district. Meanwhile, significant differences were observed when the school level, type of respondent, and school size were considered. The study revealed no significant differences in the extent of compliance to anti-truancy policy as assessed by the respondents when classified according to school level, school size, school location, schools district, and school size, except for the type of respondent which a remarkable significant difference was observed. Spearman rho correlation analysis between the of implementation and compliance regarding the anti-truancy policy showed significant relationship further denoting strong positive relationship.
