Abstract
This study investigates the effects of integrating technology in Teaching English in Senior High School of Floro L. Medina Memorial High School. The study employs the random sampling method as a sampling technique to gather the data, in which the researcher’s randomly selects a subset of participants from a population. The data gathering was done using survey questionnaires as the research instrument which contains a series of questions and choices for respondents to choose from, including the items related to their experiences, attitudes, and perceived effectiveness in language learning. The researchers used Likert Scale to determine the level of agreement and disagreement of respondents to the statement. The statistical analysis of data employs Descriptive statistics which measure central tendency and dispersion to summarize the data and Inferential statistics which use Hypothesis testing using t-tests or analysis of variance (ANOVA). Our results showed that integrating technology in teaching English in Senior High school is necessary to improve the teaching and learning of English to Senior High school students of Floro L. Medina Memorial High School and has a positive impact on both the students and teachers. The results also revealed that implementing technology in teaching as of today has proved to be necessary and beneficial for both subjects as it is used to facilitate learning. The implications of this study could be to encourage students and teachers to become technologically literate and to become globally competent. Furthermore, it can be used to urge the school to offer training and additional support to improve the knowledge of both teachers and learners in technology.
